Pentecostal Church of Christ

LOCATION:
Cleveland, Ohio

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Pentecostal Church facility dates back to 1918. Portions of the elaborate interior had suffered water damage over the years and Dependable Painting was asked to complete the needed interior renovations.

The ceiling is made up of ornate plaster borders and stenciled and hand painted fabric panels stretched over the structural steel framing. Water damaged panels had to be infil painted to match the original panels.

Other decorating techniques our craftsmen used include: rag roll, sponge finishing and multi-colored spray applications with gold flecks. The large round masonry columns at the altar were accented using shredded gold leaf applied over a dark blue painted background. The scallops were accented with 22 carat gold leaf.

Dependable Painting received a preservation award from the Cleveland Restoration Society for its work at the Pentecostal Church of Christ.
